About Me

My name is Joseph I'm the owner and master trimmer at stitch perfect, I was trained at one of the world’s last standing family owned hand built car manufacturers, Morgan Motors Ltd in Malvern, Worcestershire.

I'm an automotive enthusiast and have been for as long as I can remember, my love of car's and bikes started at a young age helping my Dad in the family garage and now I just can’t get enough of the feel, look, sound and smell of cars and bikes and of course restoring them or helping people by doing my part as a trimmer.

The name of the business, Stitch Perfect is the service that I aim to provide, so you can relax and be safe in the knowledge that I will take the utmost care when I’m working on your project no matter how large or small, I will achieve a finish that not just you can be proud of but a finish I will be happy to put my name on.

My aim is to build a company with a reputation for the highest quality craftsmanship and  outstanding customer service without comprise.

I’m passionate and enthusiastic about designing and customising automotive interiors, from the age of 12 I wanted to be a trimmer after i saw an issue of Max Power with Carisma’s Renault 5 GT turbo in it, it had a fully re-designed and blue and yellow leather trimmed interior.

I set out on the first stage of my journey at Morgan Motors, I completed a 5 year in house apprenticeship then went on to achieve a lot at the company staying with them for over 10 years learning my craft and honing my skills.

I later decided that i wanted to set out on the second stage of my journey in 2013 wanting to share my skills and enthusiasm as a trimmer with like minded car enthusiasts,  I opened Stitch perfect and it has gone from strength to strength growing rapidly and building a reputation for high quality craftsmanship and customer service.

When we are asked to look at a potential interior restoration project, we start by asking you what you want from the car/project - factory original? Discreet upgrades? A true concours contender? How important is preservation? Do we refurbish or replace?

One of the team will then examine your car/project thoroughly.

From this we create an initial 'ball park' estimate which we take you through, and seek your approval. At this stage we have not removed anything from your car, and so we are unable to give detailed or more accurate figures on likely works.

Once we are given the go-ahead, we strip the car interior down, and from what we find we compile a project schedule and more detailed estimate. We do not offer fixed prices for interior restoration work, but this second estimate is designed to give you a more realistic idea of likely costs.

We are spending your money, so we will advise you on potentially significant overruns throughout the project, and we thought it might be helpful if you could see the hourly rates on which we base our work.

  • Cleaning/valeting/semi skilled labour: £20 per hour

  • Trimming: £40 per hour
